The last 2 months...

As most of you, if not all of you, know that Patrick and I had our beautiful baby, David Ganon Turner (goes by Ganon), on 02/28/2009 at 4:32 am. He was 8 lbs 4oz and 22 in long. I was in labor for 10 hours and pushed for 2o minutes with the help of forceps. It was such an amazing experience! To see Patrick holding our precious baby made me fall even more in love with him! And it took me back to the day we got married for time and all eternity. We are so blessed to be an eternal family! I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father entrusted Ganon to us as his earthly parents. I remember the moment I was able to hold Ganon for the first time so vividly.......the awe I felt was so amazing. Just staring at him and he staring back at me. I wondered, as I was looking at him, if he knew me; if he had any recollection of me from his life before as he was preparing to come down to earth. It didn't actually even hit that I was a Mom until we were able to take him home. I remember it being so surreal. The last two months have been awesome. However, the first two weeks after Ganon was born was PAINFUL! But worth every ounce of pain experienced! Here are just a few pics over the past 2 months: (some pics didn't upload correctly, so i took them off)
Me, Ganon and Patrick when Ganon was just 3 days old
Grandma Gatherum (my mom) and Ganon just 2 weeks old Ganon 3 1/2 weeks old--he sleeps like his dad
He did this all on his own :) That's my Boy!
Grandpa Turner (Patrick's dad)
Isn't this so sweet?? Ganon is 4 weeks here.
Ganon and me about 5 weeks
Ganon and Patrick...I think Patrick needed a nap more than Ganon did. (some of the pics before this one didn't upload right, so it jumps ahead a couple of weeks)
Ganon is 6 weeks here and is now holding his head up. He's sitting in his Bumbo. What a big boy!
He love his swing! He just woke up in this picture.
He is 8 weeks here. He looks so much like Patrick, but with my narrow face, color and muscle structure around his mouth. I swear he pulls the same dirty looks i do...I better be careful :)
The proud parents of Ganon
(yep I got the "mommy" hair cut) the kid has a VERY tight grip :)
Patrick and I love being parents, despite the Blowouts, Spit ups, and sometimes endless crying. We wouldn't trade it for anything! It's so rewarding to feel loved and depended on. He has brought such joy to our lives, joy that is unimaginable.
I will try to upload the other pics. And I promise I'll be better and more consistent on posting.

Hooray Hil! I am so glad you updated! What a beautiful baby! I saw pics of him from Charlotte when he was still in the hospital and the ones where he is home are so much fun too! He is just so precious and I bet you are enjoying every minute with him! Isn't it neat to just look down at him and think, wow! I am a mom! you are my child! Best feeling ever! We are so happy for you. Give kisses to your sweet baby boy for me. What a precious child of God :)

He's getting so old ;). It's amazing to see how fast OTHER children grow. I don't notice mine until he grows out of clothes!
